Suncrest Hospice is seeking a Medicaid Billing Specialist to join our team.  Successful candidates will have 2-5 years recent Medicaid experience.

Details

  • Send out clean claims on a monthly and as needed basis in a timely manner
  • Accurately read and post incoming payments from payers
  • Monitor unpaid claims – making phone calls and written appeals as necessary
  • Track common claims errors and create solutions
  • Create and maintain relationships with nursing facility billing departments and MCO claims representatives
  • Audit patient files as needed for accuracy in billing
  • Work with Accounts Payable department to send pass through payments to nursing facilities
  • Problem solving

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years Medicaid billing experience
  • Familiarity with EMR/Medical Billing software
  • Competency using computers (i.e. web portals, downloading, uploading, scanning, etc.)
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Problem Solving
  • Accounting mindset
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Previous experience in home health care or hospice preferred
