Details

The Assistant Director of Clinical Services partners with the Director of Clinical Services to provide leadership, oversight, and operational support for the hospice clinical team. This role assists in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the leadership, supervision, and development of the clinical team.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the team while fostering a culture of accountability, compassion, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Support the organization's mission, vision, and values while contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of qualified hospice clinical personnel.
  • Implement and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor clinical staff performance and collaborate with leadership to address quality assurance and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and monitoring corrective action plans for clinical department deficiencies.
  • Provide clinical guidance and operational support to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate hospice services.
  • Assist with clinical audits, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory survey readiness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote quality patient outcomes and operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.

Qualifications

  • A strong leader with impeccable organizational, strategic, analytical and project management skills.
  • A solid communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to motivate, mentor, and influence others.
  • 5 years in healthcare industry preferred
  • 2 years of experience working in Leadership
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice
